Originally from Livonia, Michigan, I graduated from Western Michigan University with a theatre degree. I then moved across the Atlantic and made London, England my home. While there, I attended Mountview Theatre School and lived the life of a struggling actress. After 7 wonderful years, it was time to return to the States and try my luck in the Big Apple.

Well, life happens, priorities change, and I discover a tremendous passion for photography. I was particularly fond of portrait photography and decided that I could merge my two "loves" by taking headshots for performers. As a former actress myself, I am very aware of what is expected from the performer. I also know that it can be very stressful finding a photographer with all the qualities you would expect; friendly, knowledgeable, affordable, and committed to giving you a fantastic result. I knew that I had all of these qualities, so Sharon Bushman Photography was born.

Then, I had an opportunity to do a Surprise Proposal photo shoot. That was it. I was immediately bitten by the love bug! Shooting engagements and weddings makes me a happy girl! Getting to share such a special day with the couple and their friends and family is a truly awesome experience.
